Me, myself and I

A shell now

That’s all I am

Now that I have searched myself

I have become empty

No hope

No love

No hate

I’m a void

Fill-in-the-blank

Shade

A shadow

I’m as good as dead but how do I live

I can’t die

Or can I

Help me survive

I’m gone

Undead

Empty

And all because I searched myself long and hard

I learned what is best hidden

And what a lesson that I’ve learned
