No matter how hard I try, how desperate, you see right through, walk right through me. Do you see? I love you, do you see? I melt into the walls near you, a space clears around you, all stand in awe, your beauty and grace radiate, I taste a sip, but then you’re gone. Do you see? I long for a larger taste, a touch, a piece of you. My heart aches. It senses you before my eyes do, body instantly alert, trembling, my eyes bright, my mouth dry, my hands clammy. You saunter over, in my vicinity, I can’t breath. I close my eyes but I still see you, I open them and you’re still there. I look at your surreal eyes, you smile in my direction, my lips quirk stiffly into a crooked and haunted grin, and you walk closer. Do you see? My breath is caught, my mouth opens, closes, opens, fingernails bite my palm, as your perfect details zoom in. Do you see? Your name, I hear your name, I turn and she reaches a hand to yours. You walk past me, again, you take her, you kiss her, you love her. My mouth closes, I turn my eyes away. Do you see me? No, you don’t, but I don’t see me either.
